I'm notorious for using pencil and solely pencil when it comes to life drawing through lack of experience in any other medium. The shift from 2H to 2B was drastic in my mind and although more comfortable using pencil It makes for a dull series of very similar drawings. So with the degree show looming its time I attempted some colour. Advice needed.

ReplyDeletehmm only advise i'd suggest is that your outline is a bit too heavy-handed (at least for my liking) if the light is coming from the top left, the left outline would barely be visible which would in turn make your existing shadows deeper and more believable etc. another thing i'd do is leave sketchy lines in as it gives a sense of, well for a lack of a better word - life! although i reckon this outlining might be from your architecture past, so might not be easy to get past,tis just a thought really.
