I have the rest of the scene now to scan and colour so when I can get the time to get it coloured and its in context this will definitely make more sense!

Not The Most Dynamic Scene Ever
Ashley's direction to save time. Mix a lot of dynamic movement with still scenes. Economic and pleasing that a scene can be scored off a production chart in five minutes. A satisfyingly easy start to a busy week..

2D Turnaround. Man 002
This is the most posts I've ever posted in a month. To celebrate, I spent a teeny bit of time on my own work and so here we have 2D turnaround take 2. This one involves 10 drawings (plus two which didn't scan and so have yet to be added). Once I stop the feet sliding it could be nice but I'm thinking of adding a bit of colour perhaps if time and mental space allows!

Scene 13 Smokey Bob
Many thanks to the ever useful Pat, whose advice has made this weeks 3D task seem actually achievable. Below is Scene 13, take new. I've kept him on the lamppost as the pose is stronger, theres a higher level of audience interaction and its more subtle when he blows out the candle. Bear in mind he's going to be fairly small as he larks around in the background scaring John...
Post 250. Bob Tests Compiled
N.B. This is not the final animation and useful comments are required as this is my first time animating in 3D.
In order to stay on track with the insane A Sweet Disposition schedule, I have a week to get the following looking good. Bob's all blocked out but much tweaking is needed and some sort of magic between the munching and the lollipop scene. At least you get a sense of his personality if nothing else! This will be one interesting week!

Mawkins Colouring Test One
We are at the point of deciding how to Colour up Mawkin's Backfire. As the first colour test here's three frames from the scene where Mawkin is debating which item to go after the crows with. I coloured the frames using an Photoshop then quickly compiled them as a short sequence in After Effects. Comments needed and welcome...

Scene 14 Bob
It looks odd at the end as Bob will fade out and blow out the candle of the lamppost which he's dancing around. This is easily the most complicated scene involving Bob although he will be relatively small. Also waiting on final timing for the 2D element from Eleanor Affleck. But...Scene 14, test 1...

New Scene 24 Colour/Line/Shadow Test
Much thanks to Kieran Baxter of The Flying Duchess fame who showed me another way of colouring frames. I think a vast improvement, not sure if it is there yet.

Line Issues
Theres some debate in the Mouse-tasche camp over line quality and weight for the final piece. This is another version to which I've added a basic shadow layer as a test to the cheese woman. Its still far from right so any comments/ suggestions welcome.

Play-blasting Monsters and Lipsync. Oh My.
First attempt at a close up piece of dialogue with Bob. The lollipop wafting needs serious adjusting.

2D Turnarounds
Like 3D but not. Based on some of my life drawings, which is not my strong point at all. This is the first test of the first one I've tried to do so theres only 6 drawings involved. Below are scans of some of the original drawings. More experimentation needed and will follow.

A New Sweet Disposition Animatic
For some reason I could only get this to export huge or at poor quality so sadly you'll have to make do with the latter. Hopefully though its enough to show the recent developments to the project which despite making our lives more difficult over the next few months, will be of benefit to the story.
