Rough test footage I gathered in an hour of the site around Waverly Station in Edinburgh can be seen condensed into a short video here. The footage is to help me to choose the shots and sites to film from. If there are any shots/ locations/ vantage points which you think would be good to use post a comment or send me an email with the time-code of the video.

Paris Background Version One
Now this is wonky. Brian wants it based on the artwork of David Hellman such as the backgrounds for the game Braid link here. It has to be bright and appeal to children. Help. If its any consolation this is probably the most difficult of all the backgrounds.

Master's Blog
As part of the masters course we are required to start up a new blog specifically dedicated to the research, methods and development of our ideas throughout the course of the year. The link to my one can be found below however at present its still a little bit rough and ready. The work which will be posted on the new blog will also be put up on this one too however the master's blog will end up containing more of the theoretical wordy background to the projects. As usual comments are very welcome.

Start as you mean to continue!
Today was the first introduction of the masters course. Went well and not just because of the free wine and sparkling water at the end of it. I think this year is going to be interesting. We had a meet and greet introduction presentation where we outlined to the class our backgrounds and what we want to do with the masters. Along with the showreel this was my presentation, simple but hopefully it works.

Mawkin's Reunion
The masters course starts next week and already ideas are flowing in the pipeline. The ever resourceful Brian Lindsay who was the director on Mawkin's Backfire is also returning to study and with another collaborative opportunity outwith uni. The link below is for an animatic to a live project which Brian is working on and eager to re-live the Mawkin's teamwork experience I will be on the backgrounds! Very exciting. I cannot and willnot take any credit for this so far but please have a look at Brian's animatic link here and let him know what you think. Exciting!
